2013 Freeze Dryer Training Programs
We recognize the investment you have made purchasing and installing our freeze drying systems. We will help you maximize the return on your lyophilization equipment by assuring your personnel are fully trained in their operation and maintenance.
All workshops are presented at our facility in Warminster, Pennsylvania. Customized training and training at your location can be provided upon request (details below). If you have questions regarding course content, please contact:
Note: The basics of each course are universal in scope, and much of our training is broadly applicable to all lyophilizers, not just our own. Anyone may register and attend.
Fundamentals I: Basic Freeze Dryer Operation and Maintenance
This program is a survey course covering fundamental lyophilizer operations using terminology and concepts explained in everyday language.
The course will begin with an overview of lyophilization. The effects of temperature, pressure, heat transfer, and vapor flow upon the freeze drying process will be explained and related to the operation of the freeze dryer. As the course progresses, each key lyophilizer sub-system will be reviewed in detail as it relates to the control of these critical parameters.
Although the design of the course is generic, a participant should expect to receive an overview of Hull freeze dryer operations. The following topics will be covered:
Fundamentals II: Advanced Freeze Dryer Operation and Maintenance
This program provides an in-depth examination of refrigeration techniques and practice. The format of the program follows our Fundamentals I program except with a heavier emphasis on identifying potential problems and implementing corrective actions.
Freeze Dryer Diagnostic Workshop
This is an advanced program developed for individuals with five years of industry experience. Participants will increase their ability to develop techniques and strategies to decrease unplanned down time. The program emphasizes compound compressor ratios and calculating interstage pressures and how these factors impact the efficiency of the refrigeration circuits.
