Pharmaceutical Manufacturing magazine has published an article titled "Low-Risk Lyophiization" which discusses the design and construction of a new cytotoxic / genotoxic production facility. This facility uses Hull lyophilizers with Multi-Flex and SmartCool heat transfer loop control and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) screw compressors with LN2 backup for refrigeration. The freeze dryers use autolocking chamber doors with sub-doors, autopositioning shelves, and fluid loop condensing.
